The Amino H200 is now available through Solstice AV. If you’re not familiar with Amino or the H200, this is a straightforward breakdown of what the product is, what it does, and where it fits, so you can make an informed decision about whether it belongs on your next quote.

What is it?

A compact media player built for commercial environments

The H200 connects to a screen via HDMI and delivers 4K content at full 60 frames per second; video, digital signage, branded screens. It was built specifically for two types of deployment: hospitality and digital signage. That focus shows in the detail of how it’s specified.

The install

One cable in, job done.

Power over Ethernet means a single cable carries both data and power. No separate power supply, no additional cable run. The unit ships with integrated VESA mounting brackets so it mounts directly behind a screen or beneath a desk, completely out of sight once installed.

A TVI serial interface and IR extender port handle control remotely, so the device never needs to be physically accessed after installation. For engineers, that means faster deployments. For end clients, it means no visible hardware.

Performance

Why the codecs matter on large jobs

The H200 uses AV1 and HEVC compression to deliver 4K-quality images at reduced bandwidth. On a single screen this is a straightforward efficiency gain. On a large deployment the impact is more significant.

On a hotel with 200 rooms or a retail chain rolling out across multiple sites, reduced bandwidth can remove the need for a network infrastructure upgrade before the project begins. That changes the conversation with a client significantly.

Where it fits

Built for two environments, but relevant across many more.

Hospitality

Hotels and serviced apartments running in-room displays, lobby signage, and meeting room screens. The single-cable install and concealed mounting make it well-suited to refurbishment projects where minimising disruption and controlling installation cost are priorities.

Digital signage

Retail, QSR, corporate, healthcare, government, venues, and transport environments where multiple screens need to deliver content reliably over an existing network.

The commercial case

Volume-friendly by nature

The H200 is available exclusively through distribution. As a Solstice AV partner, you have direct access to pricing, stock, and technical support. Hospitality and signage projects rarely involve a single unit, a hotel group or multi-site operator represents volume purchases, and the margin on each unit compounds accordingly.
