At Solstice Distribution Limited we support and are fully committed to compliance with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”) to eliminate slavery and human trafficking.
As a limited company in AV distribution we work with a range of suppliers, both in the UK and globally, and we work to promote ethical business practices.This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Act in relation to the financial year ending on 31 December 2020.
Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our promise to work ethically and with integrity, actively promoting a workplace that is free from physical and verbal harassment. The policy influences all operational procedures at Solstice Distribution Limited.
We operate and work with fair employment practices, including:
- We do not make use of child labour or forced labour.
- We aim to maintain a healthy, safe and productive work environment.
- We do not tolerate any conduct that encourages or creates an offensive, humiliating or intimidating work environment.
- We respect the freedom of our employees to associate with any employee organisation or trade body of their own choosing without fear of reprisal, intimidation or harassment.
All employees of Solstice Distribution Limited are expected to act in compliance with the ‘Act’ at all times.
In our efforts to mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains, at Solstice Distribution Limited, we operate due diligence on our suppliers, carrying out credit and risk checks, as well as online searches, prior to them joining our network of preferred suppliers, to ensure compliance with the Act and to that there are no current cases of conviction for modern slavery. Our procedures are designed to: establish, assess and monitor areas of potential risk in our business and supply chains; reduce the risk of any modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains; and provide adequate protection for whistleblowers
While we find that we operate in lower risk sectors and locations, we carry out regular audits to evaluate the nature and extent of our exposure to the risk of modern slavery occurring in our supply chains.
